Apple sells 1 billionth iphone!

A huge milestone for apple

A few days ago it was announced Apple sold 1 billion iphones, from 2007 to 2016. This month is an exciting month for apple and their CEO Tim Cook. It was in this month that it was announced that Apple sold 1 billion iphones over the 9 years they have been around.

Here is what Tim Cook had to say "We never set out to make the most, but we have always set out to make the best products that make a difference,". Cook became CEO of apple in 2007. Steve Jobs left due to health problems, then later died.

Apple also, recently announced that their sales dropped. Last year they had 48 million sold iphones. This year it was announced 40.4 million. The amount dropped by 8 million. Tim Cook in a conference call said: "Maybe that was a predictable thing, although we didn't predict it in the beginning", regarding 6S sales.

Cook admitted they he was caught of guard to see a drop in sales. He hopes that the iphone 7 will do better. I am sure apple will find a solution. Apple is always surprising us. They're a good company. Everyone seems to be excited that Apple sold 1 billion iphones. But Samsung has sold 1.2 billion Samsung devices. Samsung has sold more because they have high end as well as mid range phones. In 2015 alone Samsung sold 7 million more phones than apple. Apple tried to make money from the mid range market by releasing the Iphone SE. It's hard to predict iphone 7 sales. They announced that their will be no headphone jack. I personally need a headphone jack, and won't be purchasing it. The iphone 7 sales might suffer due to that.

I'm just going to wait for the new galaxy. Are you excited that Apple sold 1 billion iphones? For more info make sure to follow us on twitter
